Vehicle, Home and Commercial Film Warranties

For the original customer and vehicle recorded at installation, the automotive film warranty covers the following failures when caused by a defect in the supplied film:

• Cracking, peeling or delamination of the film
• Bubbling that appears after the initial curing period
• Excessive or unusual colour change or fading
• Adhesive failure causing the film to lift from the glass
• Any other failure caused by a defect in the supplied film

What is not covered

The warranty does not extend to damage caused by factors outside normal use:

• Damage from improper cleaning, harsh chemicals or abrasive tools
• Scratches, cuts or tears caused by objects or contact
• Damage resulting from vehicle accidents or glass breakage
• Removal or alteration of the film by anyone other than Solar Window Tints
• Normal wear on the outer edge of the film at the window seal
• Pre-existing glass, heater-element, seal or mechanism defects and damage caused by aftermarket accessories

Aftercare instructions

To keep your tint in perfect condition and maintain your warranty:

• Keep your windows fully closed for at least 5 days after installation to allow the film to cure
• Small water bubbles or a slight haze may appear during the curing period. This is normal and will clear within 2 to 4 weeks depending on weather
• Clean tinted windows using only a soft cloth and soapy water. Avoid ammonia-based products such as standard glass cleaners
• Do not use abrasive pads, scrapers or sharp objects on the tinted surface
• Avoid placing stickers or suction cups directly on the tinted glass

Warranty periods for home and commercial window film vary by the selected product, glazing type and whether the application is internal or external. The exact term and coverage will be stated in your written quote or installation record. The 10-year and 15-year periods above apply to the listed automotive tiers only.

This commercial warranty is additional to your statutory consumer rights and does not restrict or replace them.
